Jerry Cahalan, CEO
Jerry Cahalan is the founder and CEO of ClickGiant, an internet marketing firm located in Charleston, SC. ClickGiant is mostly known for SEO but also excels in web development, design, content creation, PPC management, display advertising, social media management and review building for over 60 clients and counting.
Jerry started out in Media Sales in 1997 and eventually transitioned into business development for a full service ad agency. Within two years, the agency had tripled in size. “Many clients were asking if we handled web design, PPC management and “Organic SEO” —which back then we had to look up! Our shop, like many others at that time was still concentrating mainly on print, radio, billboards & TV. Needless to say, things were changing quickly”.
With so many companies requesting help with SEO, Jerry jumped in and cut his teeth by managing Google AdWords campaigns. He was astonished that he could drive quality leads to clients, sometimes for as low as $1 per click! There was a lightbulb moment. Through organic SEO, Jerry realized we could move client websites to the top of the natural listings in the SERPs at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising. After shouting “AHA!” from the mountaintops, Jerry began to research everything he could to help clients drive more traffic to their sites, including the elements of great web design and conversion optimization. Hence ClickGiant’s tagline: Clicks. Conversions. Customers.
Over the last 20 years, Jerry has had the pleasure of working with many great brands, including Scout Boats, Nectar Sunglasses, D.R. Horton, KB Homes, McDonald’s, HUK Gear, Nomad, Vintage 1946, Units Portable Storage and more across a range of industries. Because we don’t focus on any specific industry, our culture is geared toward continuous education and always looking at client situations with fresh eyes. We seek to challenge the norm while staying on top of constantly evolving best practices, delivering powerful campaigns that have achieved great results for our clients.
When not working, you’ll likely find Jerry in his ‘66 Ford Fairlane, on his ‘79 BMW, whipping his 11 year old son on the basketball court or pretending he’s a fly fisherman.
